Something’s in life
Are not as beautiful as they seem
Like this horse who will take your life
If you get to close to him

He can take the form
Of the one you adore
And lead you to the water
Away from the shore

He will pull you under
Till you have no air
He’ll watch as you struggle
As you silently prayer

Your lungs will fill with water
And the last thing you’ll see
Is a kelpie dragging you
Away from me

So listen dear child
For this is a warning
Don’t trust the kelpies
Or there will be mourning
