Great concept, most people would just put a bunch of pipes and gears on it and call it steampunk, but you actually thought through how it would work.

well it works like a regualr shotgun only it shoots using pressurized steam, which is why i gave it pipes to release steam used, and after the shot the shell is released the same way any other shotgun does but you can see a gear that rolls on the fore-end and it will open the slot above it and pop out the empty shell.

Spiff! Though I'm wondering how the shot spreads- seems like this would make a better grenade launcher, or even rifle, than a literal "shot"gun. But cool, in any case.

You don't really need anything to make the shot spread, the energy would just spread them out, but this gun does look more like it would handle slugs better.
