Gah, This thing took me forever! I'll explain it:
For my sculpture class, we were given a word. It was random really, and I was blessed with the word 'Tadpole'. Now, our job was to make it into a biomorphic abstraction, so I drew a few pics. This one I liked the most, and the idea was accepted by my teacher. So I started on it. I carved it out of styrofoam, sanded it, then covered it with Concret and Acuflex (a styrofoam glue) and sanded, coated, sanded, etc. I wanted it to shine! And I sanded for 4 days straight, then painted. And viola, Got this! The three swirls around it are 'tadpoles' and are shiney because, well, tadpoles are shiny! And the middle piece is a frog, textured very bumpy, and the blue part is water. Sorry for the bad quality photo, moms digital camera is getting kinda old :\
Time took: About 4 weeks
Mediums: Styrofoam, Concret, Acuflex, Paint

Oh XD Thats someone elses project. This was taken during the gallery showing. The pink thing is an abstract 'turtle', I think its very cute

no lol, we wrote on the back of a paper what we wanted to do, then passed it to the right. I got what someone else wrote (tadpole) And the person to my right got what I wrote (Raven)

Really though, its about whos governs the white house, who is in the wings, our past presidents, the amendments, the constitution, laws, political things. The stuff Im really NOT interested in lol. Im pretty sure my teacher gave me a few extra points cus I had an exact 60 on my final. lol

I used I think 1/4" metal poles on 3 sides of it that connect to the outer part
