Actually fanart for the fanfic Evangelion : The Rite of Spring, not the series itself.
The story is an AU that takes place in an art school in Germany, but keeps the original Eva's plot elements with changes. The Angels are very surrealist monsters with the ability to create pocket universes to battle in, the Warriors of Light make contracts with the Evangelions (ancient bible-like books) to transform and battle, and agents of NERV are attempting to find and/or kill God.
