After reading the comments, I feel so ultimately stupid I cant describe it in words... for one thing everyone thought it was a man, it looks like a women to me... and the orb/moon thing, it seems to me a bit like an ultrasound of a baby, like its head or something, with some smoke coming of the sides as if its like this mysterious special object.
I honestly thought it was a women who had, had several miscarriages (represented by skulls) and is very ill (thin body, bones showing) and she was reaching out for the life this unborn baby (orb thing) would give her... I like the texture thing you did for the grass. So that's my weird interpretation on your art... sorry for making it seem not... supernatural.

Ouuu... This must be your handsome vampirey dude. Man... You are so talented. This is plain, like you say, but I'm still in awe at the vast amount of detail poking around every stroke of your pen.
I love the orb in the corner. The wispy, hairlike flowy stuff emanating from it gives me the impression that whatever 'it' is, is leaving him. He could be releasing it, maybe... but it looks more like he's vaguely beckoning for it to come back to him.
Not quite ready to succumb to the skeletony blackness that's swallowing him up, I assume.
Also, I may have discovered his name via comment stalking.

This is really just beautiful. Gotta say my favorite part is dat hair. I wonder how the overall flow of the piece would have been if the hair were going upward with his reach?

Maybe you could try...what's that stuff called, the white stuff used for priming handmade canvases? Oh - GESSO. That stuff is super-hardcore opaque, and brilliantly white! Maybe with a teeny paintbrush and some water to thin it just a bit, you could get the effect you wanted? Maybe?
...I actually love the way you used to leave un-inked areas through your hair. D: You're able to make it look so nice and shiny....<:3 Whenever I try it it just kinda. Ends up looking like stripes. XDD

Mnnn... maybe. It just never looks right to me.
Ohhhhh... well, you just mean making shiny places? I chose not to do that on purpose with this one except that little bit in the bangs.

The shiny places and the uninked places I was talking about are two completely different things. I like doing the shiny places, but they wouldn't have worked here. It would make the picture too busy. The uninked places I was talking about are something else entirely. I stopped doing that so long ago, most of the pictures I did that with I've probably deleted. XD
