Personality: Alexis is the De Facto leader of her group of 6 friends, always being the one they turn to when they need advice. She always fights for what she believes in and stands up for other people’s rights. She’s a gay rights activist and an outspoken campaigner for women’s rights. She’s a dedicated worker, always making sure that her art and writing is the best it can be. However, she is also quick to take offense at insults and is torturously slow to forgive them.

Alexis is a complete and total nerd. She knows obscure comic book lore, loves to cosplay as her favorite anime characters, and owns an extensive collection of Transformers. However, her main area of expertise is video games and video game trivia; she can play just about any video game the same way Charlie Daniels plays a Fiddle. (According to her, at any rate.) Her absolute favorite video game company is Nintendo, being a part of her childhood since she was 5 years old.

Alexis is also a shameless flirt and womanizer; every two weeks, she’s with a new woman. She can never resist a pretty face, and more often than not, she lets her genitals do her thinking for her. In addition to her perverted tendencies, she’s also a bit of a narcissist, in an “I have a crush on my own reflection” way. However, she understands and respects boundaries, and stops flirting as soon as the answer is “no.” (Not that she gets a lot of those)

Background story:

Alexis was born and raised in Manhattan on the Upper East Side to an Italian mother, and an American father. She learned to play video games from her older brother, Matt Mercer when she was 5. When she was in middle school, she met Zoey Kazanova and took an instant liking to her. Zoey introduced her to Arin Olsen, and they became friends as well. She introduced them both to video games and got them each a Nintendo DS for their respective 12th birthdays.

When Alexis was a freshman in high school, she started to realize she was a lesbian when she had a sex dream about Samus Aran. Eventually, she hooked up with another girl at a party when she was 16, and accepted her sexuality. Her parents, however, were not so accepting, throwing her out of the house when she came out to them a week later. She lived with her brother in his apartment until she graduated from high school, after which, she got a job as a cashier at Best Buy in Times Square.

Her parents' rejection left her bitter for a while, and her gay rights activism was very militant in the beginning, though she eventually learned to soften her stance. After graduating college, her parents apologized and tried to take her back, but she refused initially. It took almost a year before she allowed them back into their lives, and even then, their relationship is ambivalent even in the best of times.
