Why hello again. Lol, I keep on asking you questions... I got the costume done! But.... I'm stuck on how to make the fingerless glove gauntlet things Link wears! I know how to everything up from here except those... so help plz? This'll probably be the last time I'll need help XD I have my cosplay pictures in my gallery of my costume so far.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you ~ ! I have been way busy as of late. Alright, since you are making Ocarina of Time Bracers as opposed to Twilight Pricess bracers, the techniques I reccommend are going to take some custom fitting for your situation.
I actually fashioned a leather bracer out of cheaper stock leather (but you can get a prefabricated bracer from a costume shop, or maybe even black leather bracer from a punk/goth shop, or anything that'll work) and then painted it with one of those texturized paints (the green part of my bracers).
Then, Link typically (in most games) has some sort of armor lined on top of that, for this, I made it by gluing layers of craft foam together in thin strip-like shaped until the design was right... Then blasted it with more texturized paint. You can find the paint at Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, etc, but you'll need someone 18+ to buy it because it's sort of a "controlled substance".

Okay, thanks! My dad and I got some leather fabric kinda stuff, we got an old glove, and we're using that for a pattern base and we're gonna modify it to make it longer, etc. with the bands he has over it, nothing fancy. But thanks for the help!

thanks... my dad just took my little brother to baseball, he'll be back in a few hours, then we'll start on the pattern, because my dad is doubtful, and we're running out of time, so we need to talk it out, luckily we have everything else planned out. The con, we're going on the 5th of June, that's about-a week and 3 days? Well, we sure need to get it done. But thanks, you've helped a lot!

Hey, thanks for the cosplay tips, my dad made me a shield out of some kind of foam sheet between to hard sheets of foam, it's called Gatorboard I think, with a vinyl sticker on front, pictures in my gallery. The sword will be the same way, and we got the fabric for the tunic today, thanks again ^^

Okay, thanks ^^ Hey, How long did it take you to make your costume? Ours will hopefully be done like, 3 days before the day of the con. lol It's in about 3 weeks, I'm going on Saturday (the 5th of June) so my dad and I have to work quick but I'm sure we'll get it done and it'll be fine! And, do you know any patterns or stuff for the hat?

Well, it's hard to gauge time. A costume could take 20 years to make if you only worked a few minutes a week.
In all serious, it typically "only" takes a weekend or two for me to make a costume, but that's because I sit down and just do everything. The hardest part in my opinion is gathering matching fabrics, paints, and other materials. So really, it'll get done as long as you work on it.
As for the hat, I used a clown hat pattern! You know those silly triangle hats that French clowns wear? Well my Link hat is based off a pattern for one with a little tissue paper stuffed in the end so that it it retains its shape and position. You should be able to find a pattern at a store for cheap, or maybe even look one up on line since it's essentially a big triangle.
