Description A very quick review on how I do legs. I hope this helps anyone who is interested.

Points of Interest.
Gestures-Real quick scribbles that put thoughts on to paper. It's okay to be messy.
Armatures-Only the insides. Think of the bones while drawing this stage.
Tubes-kinda of like a robot. One of my art instructors swore by this technique and I do agree with him to a point. Mimics muscle mass. I prefer to use a series of curves to flesh out the mass though.

Only use dead straight lines when drawing parts of the body that lay close to the bone like part of the leg called the calves in profile. The thigh bone is encased in muscle.

Edit: Since this is another popular one, thanks to everyone who faved.

yet another great tip and lesson xD really helpful thank you.

Can I make a request? Can you do a tutorial on drawing hands? and feet? I just can't seem to get it to work on a piece, but if I sit and just draw hands and expressions it's not to bad, its just putting the hands onto the actual character drawing lol

I will try to add a tutorial on hands and feet but only after I finish the head/face one.  Hands, feet, and the face are the hardest to do and I'm having some trouble trying to make the tutorial simple enough for even myself to understand.  Keep watching!

Awesome thank you yeah they are the hardest I agree although the face isn't to bad for a straight on shot its just when you start turning it I find it confusing lol the different shapes the eyes make and then all the different expressions damn yeah the face is complex lol good luck with that, if I can help in any way I will try but think your more qualified than myself haha

Well then, I hope this helps you too. If you need a good book on bone structure and anatomy, Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck. My figure drawing teacher adored this book. Good luck!

You're welcome. I hope this helps you out a bit. I plan to do a better tutorial for all parts of the leg, knee, and foot when I get a new sketchbook.
