Well, actually I think dialkia is more of the original form of theirs.... you see, space and time are basically the same thing and dialga is time and palkia is space, so it would simply be logical if they were one and the same at some point, right?

You could be correct given their point of origin is from Arceus' creation. We would have to follow Gamefreak logic even then. Depends how Arceus felt that day when it shaped the pokemon universe
