Looks like you're getting used to your tablet.

Some good digital art tutorials:

Thank you very much!

Photoshop helps a lot too. I'd been working in Gimp up until a couple of weeks ago.

I'll be sure to check those out!

I'm sorry You've had to work in GIMP. Not for the faint of heart... that and the learning curve is more of a cliff.

I may be going out on a limb here, but if you have the time would you mind perhaps doing an art trade? I'd really love to see what the characters from my most recent project look like from another artist's perspective. And I always find it fun to take a crack at someone else's characters as well. It's a very fun learning experience.

Thanks for the tutorials by the way! I've been looking at them and I think they're really going to help speed along the improvement of my photoshop skills. Before I just sort of clicked stuff and saw what happened.

How dare you ask me if we can do an art trade?!?!

Of course we can! I've been digging some of your characters of late, so I wouldn't mind giving one or two a whack. Did you have a specific character you wanted me to draw, or that you wanted to draw? I know some people like to do a random pick, but I don't mind if you have a preference.

Also, no problem on the tutorials. It's amazing the difference it can make if you follow only a few of them. I used to like to dabble in PS for fu, and see if I could get my own results, but after a while you just want to know what you're doing.

Eeeee! Yay!

It means a lot that you've been liking my characters.
And actually, I'd love to see you take a crack at either of these guys: [link] or [link]
(if you'd rather do a different character from Dionysus though, that would be cool too ) Sorry the references aren't that good (once again, gimp.) If you'd like a better one, I can do that.

And I don't really have a preference. Whatever you'd like to see me do =]

I'll take a look at your characters again. There was one with interesteing marks near her eyes that I thought was pretty cool. And no need make more references unless you were planning on it for yourself.

One character I'm interested in seeing is this one: [link] .
I haven't done a colored version of her, but I was thinking of her clothes being mostly white for the shirt, blue for the shorts, and black and white striped socks and glove things. She's Asian with black/dark hair. Feel free to mess around with clothes colors though. The main thing is for her shirt she always wears some famous city with an icon.

I'm looking forward to this, so let's see what happens.

I think you're thinking of either of the Illustrati girl characters Cyveya [link] or Imeria [link]

And ooh I like her! I can't wait to get started on the drawing.

Oh and I forgot to say, if you're drawing either of them, feel free to do whatever you want with the clothing (if you want to change it. You can use what I have too, either way.) Illustrati women usually wear long dresses/skirts, but other than that, the clothing tends to vary.

Doing one comic page took sometimes over twelve hours. I guess the learning curve is like a cliff in that it makes you want to jump off of one.

I did manage to make some pretty decent stuff in it though. It just took AGES.
