Description Memory mounted to an old ancient Everex Systems Inc. memory expansion board/card.

These were used in the old IBM 8086 and 8088 business computers in the early to mid 1980's. This particular board is stamped 1985 and I used it in my very first 8088 I brought home from work back in the late 80's. The difference between the 86's and the 88's was the addition of a math coprocessor chip in the 88's to help mitigate the work load on the main processor chip.

btw after the 8086's they renumbered them as follows...

80286 = 286
80288 = 286 DX
80386 = 386
80388 = 386 DX
80486 = 486
80488 = 486 DX
80586 = Pentium
80588 = Pentium
...

So there you have another bit of absolutely useless information from a bygone golden age of early computing into the advent of what we now call personal computers (pc's)

I don't see "RAM" chips, I see an old city awakening in the sunrise.  Factories humming, people  commuting, and buses driving.   It is the personification of our society.

Thank you

Was trying for the kind of lighting you see in documentary films when archeologists discover an ancient object in a tomb.

That would work. If you have a camera that does video, doing a slow focus pull to some dramatic music with this lighting - that could be impressive.

My old D60 doesn't have video capability and the canon does but has a built in lens

But yes, that would be dramatic if I chose the right music

Thank you

Wanted it to look like those old movies where they shine a flashlight on some discovered artifact

That memory seems to be less than 1 MB.

Oh it definitely is less than 1 MB...

If I remember right it was 150? KB.

Originally the 8086 and 88 came with 64k of low memory so you had to add high memory to run larger programs

Thank you

Was going for something like what you would see in one of those Indiana Jones movies when they find some old artifact
