Description This is the second in a series of four macros.

I am rather proud of this one... other than a 3 degree rotation to the left no other editing was done. This is straight from the camera.

I found a new material to work with though I don't know what it is but the results are amazing

I am grateful for any fav's and comments

Fantastic work. Looks like a universe in a drop.

And all of that was produced when the flash went off.

Prior to that it just looked like the half hemispherical water drop that it was.

Could this be titanium?

It's a half water drop on some kind of Mylar material that doesn't seem like much until the camera flash fires off. Then all sorts of reflections light up and the material gets almost mirror like which is why the half drop suddenly looks like an almost completely round drop.

Thank you!

Well I have a cd propped up and the light reflects the rainbow onto the drop while lighting the drop as well. The new part is whatever this new material is adds its own colors when the flash goes off. Honestly I was really surprised at the outcome on all of them.

Sorry about being so wordy, I'm kind of excited about the possibilities.

Oh i completely understand! So don't worry, i like to have a conversation as well and it's not actually possible without being wordy
And i'm glad you are excited about it, it think you have to be It's a good photograph and the result is pretty cool.
I heard about using a cd for some very colourful effects but never used one.
I also should say i wouldn't think what you used a cd here to achieve this effect. The colour still looks pretty smooth and i think it's very cool

Did you know that with a bright light you can cast the rainbow up on a wall? I played around with reflecting the rainbow on an old projector screen a few months back... I would think it would work as well on a wall or for that matter a human body too

Just saying...

Thanks!

All four in this series surprised me as they didn't look quite like this when I clicked the shutter button. When I brought them up on the laptop I think my jaw dropped and I couldn't believe what I saw. 3 and 4 took on a rather interesting 3D quality like appearance. But, those two will have to wait a day or two
