A thought occurred to me as I was taking this shot... We, the flower and I, both require light. One just to live and the other to create but at the same time we both create. Actually we both need the light to live
Saturday Study: Took a 12" x 12" cardboard box and poked a small hole in it. Using the sunlight coming through the hole seemed too bright and glaring even though the hole was tiny. I need to work on figuring out how to adjust for that somehow.
So I used my ever faithful camping light and that seemed to work better and as a bonus I can adjust the amount of light coming in.These little flowers (Stephanomeria pauciflora) are 3/8" wide when fully open.
Used all four of my closeup lenses
18 - 55mm kit lens
Lighting set to approx. 50 lumens
Aperture set to 36
Exposure 6 seconds (or an eternity in that moment
)

That is very cool. I remember la few years ago when it was a beautiful full moon, so big and everything, I grabbed the digital and went outside and took the picture. Never having taken a photo of the moon in the dark before with a digital camera, you understand. Let me show you. I ended up giving the camera to my daughter because I felt it was too much camera for someone who no real experience with it. Now I have my mom's older Fuji FinePix 1500.
