Description
Kakashi held his mask in his hand, then looked into the mirror.

"No," he thought. "I don't need this. Not today. There's no need to hide, she deserves me as I am."

He placed the mask on a nearby chair and straightened his kimono one last time. There was a soft knock at the door and Iruka poked his head in.

"Hey, Kakashi," he said, coming in. He smiled when saw that he wasn't wearing the mask. "It's just about time. You ready?"

Kakashi sighed and shook his head. "Honestly, I'd rather fight Orochimaru right about now."

Iruka chuckled. "You'll be fine. And I bet she's just as nervous."

Kakashi nodded and turned and headed towards the door. He would never dream of running away from this but he never thought it would be this nerve-wrecking. It had to be now.

The breeze was light and the sweet smell of cherry blossoms wafted through the air. Emiri stood in front of the open window of her room. Since the village was still rebuilding itself from the attack of Pain, she and Kakashi had scouted out this location that wasn't far from the village. The people who owned the property were away but they were friends with the Hokage and were happy to lend them the space. Kaya was making sure Emiri's white kimono was properly in place and her hair and makeup looked perfect.

"Are you nervous?" she asked Emiri, who had been fairly quiet.

Emiri nodded. "Very. Is it normal to be this nervous? I mean it's just Kakashi...we've known each other forever..."

"Yes it is normal," Kaya smiled, placing a flower near each of Emiri's ears. "There's nothing to be nervous about, you'll do fine." She sighed happily and took a step back, looking Emiri up and down with a smile. "You look stunning."

Emiri blushed and smiled. "All thanks to you." She glanced out the window one last time and took a deep breath. "I'm ready."

The cherry blossom petals floated lazily on the breeze as Kakashi fidgeted, nervously shifting his weight.

"Man, I don't think I've ever seen you this nervous," Iruka quietly teased as he stood next to him.

Kakashi couldn't even respond. There were butterflies in his stomach and his head felt fuzzy. Get a hold of yourself, he said silently to himself. He felt his heart pounding in his chest. There was only a small crowd of guests including Kurenai, Gai, Iruka, Yumi, and Torao. Kaya soon joined everyone else. She gave Kakashi a wink and a smile before quickly taking her place.

The musician began to play a soft romantic melody. Kakashi immediately felt all the nerves subside as all the guests rose to their feet and turned their attention to what was behind them. Then he saw her. His bride. She was dressed in a white kimono with accents of blue. Her hair was up and decorated with a flower and a braid. It was like she was floating down the aisle with each step.

She kept her eyes on the man she loved, who would she would soon call her husband. She could feel her cheeks flush as all the attention was on her. He wasn't wearing his mask and that made her happy. For once she could see his emotions written on his entire face. As she neared, he extended his hand to her and she took it.

"You look..." Kakashi started to say but he couldn't find the right word to describe how beautiful she looked.

Emiri giggled, seeing him struggle. "Thank you." She decided against teasing him at the moment. There would be time for that later.

Kakashi led Emiri a little further until they stood before the priest. Soon it was time to recite the vows.

Kakashi smiled nervously at Emiri as he cleared his throat. "I don't know what I did to deserve you," he started, "But you are undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me. You know my past, you understand what I went through. When we first met, I was a stubborn child that wanted nothing to do with anyone. But you pushed me harder than I anticipated. You made me see things differently. Because of you, I'm a better ninja, and a better man. I will stick by your side no matter what, through happiness and sorrow, when you're sick, when you're hurt, when you succeed and when you fail. I trust you with my life, and I couldn't be happier to spend the rest of it with you. I love you, Emiri."

Tears trickled down her face as she tried to wipe back her tears. Iruka quickly handed a tissue to Kakashi who dabbed away the tears. Emiri smiled in thanks as she began her vows. "Kakashi. We have been through so much together. After what happened to me as a child, I never imagined I'd find anyone who gets me like you do. We butted heads a lot as kids. We argued over everything. But you helped me become the person my parents always dreamed I could be." She paused for a moment, remembering her mother and father. "I felt like I was constantly losing things when I was younger. I was broken, I felt helpless, and I pitied myself. But you wouldn't allow it. You made me stand on my own two feet and fight until I realized who I was. Kakashi, I fell in love with you because you have helped me become who I am today. My life and my heart is all yours."

Kakashi beamed at Emiri and vice versa. It was safe to say that the two of them had each had a significant impact on each other's lives. They had grown together in more than one way.

Sniffles could be heard from the crowd as the ceremony began to wind down. Finally the priest had Kakashi and Emiri face their guests.

"May I present for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Kakashi Hatake."

Emiri placed her hand in the bend of Kakashi's arm. Smiling, the two made their way to their guests as husband and wife.

I've been wanting to do their wedding for quite some time now but haven't had the inspiration until recently. Finally they're hitched!! I am sooooo in love with how this turned out! It was a lot of fun to do and I hope you enjoy!!
