I love it. Her crown reminds me of the Legend of Hercules tv show. Love the fan.

Think Greek mythology meets steampunk.

A story of the mythical Olympian Gods who fled Earth when they were losing worship, found another world with more primitive beings on it, and invaded it so they could have the occupants of that world worship them.
Now, a dozen generations later or so, the Gods have developed their new world into an industrial era

Oh, I thought it was a superhero universe with Greek mythology. Still sounds interesting!

And their legend still lives, right? I mean, people tell stories of how their uncle saw Poseidon appear when he accidentally ventured out too close to Atlantis, or how their friend's friend once tried to out-drink Zeus?

Roysovitch In reply to Cerbinwydd [2016-11-28 23:23:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. They are much more directly involved with the lives of the Elysians. They are not only worshiped as actual gods, but celebrated as celebrities and very real, larger-than-life personalities.

With a name like Elysium, I'm wondering if they have any enemies in this world...

Well not only are the gods their own worst enemy more often than not (with all the in-fighting, family drama, and personal vices among them), but there is also the looming threat of the Titans which have been known to escape their prison every now and again.
There is also the growing cult of the Broken Book, which are mortals who preach of a rising against the gods in revolt and reclaiming their own destiny.
There may also be other pantheons and other dimensional beings who have set their sights on Elysium or Olympus for their own purposes.

Again, great work, Phil. I especially love the detailing on her parasol and fan. Well done.

On a minor nitpick, the title: "NeOlympuis"?
