I love the character but, Why red hood? The name makes no sense when it's a helmet. grifter would have been a better choice for the name, at least his mask is made of cloth!

Cool, I remember her as Red Hood from Kingdom Come. Had Red Hood Lian Harper never been resurrected in Convergence, I would like to see been brought back to life by the League of Assassin, and they train her to become a lethal assassin.

Lain Harper always knew her father wasn't running in the best circle but even then she always enjoyed the company of "Uncle" Jason. He taught her about the stuff her father and mother was unwlling or unable. Some was good while some was bad, but always very even handed and patient with her. Then he disappeared, leaving her his jacket which she always liked. Some say he died, others say he disappeared into some hole in time and space. She always believed he was out there but until he got back, everyone needed to know the Red Hood was still out there.
Inspirations: Morrison's Batman and Robin (Red Hood Logo), Jason's and Roy's relationship from New 52 DC & Lian's Red Hood persona from Kingdom come.

IIRC, the Kingdom Come Lian Harper was named "Red Hood". She wore the usual Green Arrow / Speedy type costume, though. So, it was probably just a reference to Robin Hood and not The Joker's legacy. Waid probably just derp'd and forgot that was a thing. But, this was also before that got super important.
