Description On the eastern part of Montreal, between Pie-X and Viau boulevard and between Sherbrooke street and Pierre de Coubertin street lies Montreal Olympic Stadium. Sometimes it reminds us of a landed alien space ship and sometimes we may even think that there is a giant Brontausaurus looming ahead.
I arrived there one morning and saw these beautiful perspective lines. It was fortunate that some gardener's hose had been dripping water. It offered a compositional balance between the clouds, the walls and the foreground as well as the bonus of some reflections. I thought an orange filter was needed to dramatize the sky. I waited in vain for some subject. Nothing came on that sunday morning! Desperately, I fixed the camera on a tripod, set the timer for ten seconds and tried ro emulate Carl Lewis on the 100 metre dash.

extremely geometric and well organized. The light is indeed very good.

Sometimes we find a perfect setting, but no interesting subject in it! It makes your heart whine to loose the shot, so you were perfectly right in helping yourself a bit

another good one!

you are probably as resistant as I am myself when it comes to cropping, but I feel this one would win if you'd cut the puddle away and show just the conrete walls and ground. It would be much more dynamic IMHO.

This is wonderful! I love the surreal effect. Kudos to the gardener for assisting in your composition. I haven't tried running into a photo yet, but if a scene ever needs something and it happens to be me, I'll do what needs to be done! I prefer to be behind the lens most of the time, though. Anyway, great photo!

Little to say, just wonderful, rich and full. You should be proud of your work!

Great composition and perspective. I can relate to being in need of a subject and having to run into a shot to beat a 10-second timer. Photography can be exhausting!
