Well it does explain why Rose Quartz was so OP, that her shield was even able to block a triple diamond corruption blast.
Although now we wander why she couldn't stand up to the other Diamonds to have her colony made the way she wanted, and staged this whole rebellion thing (one theory is there already was a rebellion and she subverted an actual Rose Quartz), or she was basically like a kid and instead of standing up to her parents instead tried to make a huge mess that would make them give up instead of insisting it be the way they wanted.
Although that line Pearl has the hologram Rose say in the Rose's Scabbard episode stands out now as odd "If we are caught we'll be killed"....
I doubt Blue or Yellow would...unless White is that tyrannical and in charge.

By now they've portrayed that Pink was younger in mentality and a bit more naive. She did, after all, assume that Yellow and Blue would simply abandon Earth as worthless once they learned she was dead. There's a good chance she believed Yellow and Blue really would attempt to kill her if they found out she was revolting against the other members of the Great Diamond Authority. It's likely she never thought that Blue would be emotionally devastated and Yellow would want revenge.

yeah all of this has turned into a teenager faking her death and running away from home believing her family doesn't love her, never expecting they'd grieve her and go all out in her name.
One also wanders if millennia shapeshifted most of the time if not all the time has had any toll on her, she may be a Diamond but it strains them. There are a ton of theories to be born from this, like amnesia, that she had to revert to some form to rest, needing to reset, ect... like Steven was the way out of her dilemma without giving away her secret. Also the whole "humans get to grow up" part stands out, like she realized she was different, even from other Gems, and found a way to mature...by resetting in a human form.
A lot of theories are now rising from this revelation.
