Because one of the jokes from portal is that the cake is a lie, so if the cake was a sentient being his life would be a lie, hence the picture!

I made a Portal cake. Supposedly the recipe is the exact recipe from the computer screens on Portal with the exception of the fish stuff and something else but I can't really remember right now. Anyway, it is a very good cake. It is really dense, and rich though. It costs me about $30 each time I bake it and it takes several hours. Totally worth it.
