This is one of the drawings I made in the period of my inactivity. I NEVER THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE CANNON. My heart...I just... I'm going to weep forever over Legend of Korra....I should fix Asami's hair....but... *laughs* Who has time for stuff like that anymore?

The day the final episode came out was both a sad affair but also a emotionally uplifting one. Sad because Korra was over, but also so...heart warming on the inside because it made a relationship canon that I feared would never be allowed to be. Yet against all odds it did. And I was so happy.

Thought I was just seeing things that weren't there throughout Books 3 & 4. Right up until Tenzin walked away in the finale, I just kept repeating "There's no way they're going to" all the way until they totally did and it turned out that in those past episodes, it was exactly what it looked like.
I would have been completely happy if it ended with Korra still single. So for this ending, I am beyond ecstatic. Nearly a month later and I'm still partying.

Seriously. I shipped them harder than I wanted to, but I was also pretty convinced it would never happen just because of the whole family-friendly network thing. (And stuff was so up in the air for a while with Nickelodeon anyways.) Book 3 and 4 really sold me on their relationship, but I still never believed Bryke would go through with it. But I am so so happy that they actually did it! When I was younger, I so could have used one of my heroes being represented as bisexual. I'm just so glad to have this representation, especially for a younger audience.
