Description Conception: In the middle of setting up the Christie (Cos008) model for her debut (as it were) and wanted to find out how to create a glowing effect.

Method: Scour the internet for the relevant information or node set up.

Commentary: Well... it turns out there are four particular meshes labelled as 'em1' through to 'em4'. In hindsight, I guess they're for the emissions of particular meshes. Originally when I thought I completed setting up the nodes the yellow parts were a dull red. Not only was there no glow (because I didn't set it up) but they were the wrong colour. Checking in Gimp showed what was wrong: the map used in those meshes which Material editor had linked to were 'wrong'. I believe the textures are emission maps but I don't know how to use those, and certainly not with the node set ups I borrow from others (as I do pretty much everything else).

So... internet search for info! Most of the things I came across were for the Blender Render engine rather than Blender Cycles. So they were mostly a no-go. Finally came across a Youtube video which was about light emission. And from that I just replaced the Diffuse shader node with an Emission shader node. And we have the glow! Glow, glow, Power Rangers! No, wait. Feel the glow! Er... hm... whatever.

For this I actually hid the light I use for my model library (and Introducing series), so all the light should just be from Christie's suit. Ooo... wonder if this will work the same way for the sky meshes for the beach settings I've prepared previously...
