something completely different from how i go about taking a photograph, i think this looks a lot like something one would see as a background or on a calender. i hope you enjoy itRelated content

Spring (or summer as we get them here in Hawai'i) storms are always such a refreshing change from the sometimes harsh glare of the sun as it rides the sky throughout the day.
Afternoon showers are always a pleasant surprise and the green growing things swallow up the moisture, the water, as a starving man would food after he'd gone hungry for a while. Plants can be quite greedy if they've not had rain in quite sometime.
Another thing, is that with the flowers refreshed it's as if they want to show the world their brilliant colors as a sort of reward for what happens in nature. The water glistens on their petals of twilight like a thousand diamonds; unfortunately those diamonds don't always last.
That's my take on this piece; as always Philip, you've done a marvelous job!

I don't have anything particularly advanced or deep to say: my first reaction was simply "Ooooh - PRETTY!" But I like your choice of witty title. The darkness of the negative space between the flowers makes them stand out as well.

Just curious, how come you took that shot and not that of a single flower?
It really does look like purple rain though.
The color contrast made the raindrops colored in purple and everything else had no rain drops on them to distinguish a different color

i did not single out a flower in this shot because thats how i normally take photos, i wanted to do something diferent. im very pleased you enjoy my work
