-Automatic Revolvers
Vash's gun is based off the Mateba [link] (which was also in Ghost in the Shell) The reason the barrel is on the bottom is because of the recoil action to cock the hammer. This was intended to ease the trigger pull required for the usual double action revolvers.
-Hammerless semi-automatics
Guns like the Glock use strikers: [link]
-Single and double action with semi-automatics
Semi-automatics are often double action, but some, like the Colt M1911: [link] are single action, but only after the first shot. The recoil action takes care of the rest.

A good presentation, though I was hoping for a little bit more variety in the Semi-Automatic section. Some of the older models, like the Luger and C96 Mauser, as well as some others that came before, are oddballs in the Semi-Auto family, the C-96 especially due to the construction and the fact it doubles as a small SMG, being capable of accepting stocks and high-capacity magazines and firing on full-automatic with no other modification. There are also examples of modern handguns lacking safety switches, like the HK USP my father has, which otherwise fit the mold you've presented quite well. Even so, this is well put together and a perfect guide for artists new to the mechanics of firearms and how to draw them.

not all semi autos have slide release the luger for instants

understood generally if you pull back the slide (luger it is up not back) and release it does the same job. that said you did a pretty good job. (artwork rudimentary but not complaining I am not that good) and you even remembered the differences in revolvers wich no one does
