Description

This is a demonstration of how I do animation of heavy sword swinging at 12 fps.
(normally, I'd do it at 24 fps to make more intense shaking, but still simulate 12 fps for the majority of the animation, but that's a bit more complicated to explain)
It's only one swing, but that's enough just to show you.

I'm showing that the wind-up and recovery is a bit slow, but the swing itself is near instantaneous.

This is a more basic swing though. If you want me to show you a more super powered swing, I could do that.

I can't look at this without being reminded of Ike.

The sound of connecting with his forward smash isn't anywhere near realistic, but goddamn, is it gratifying.

Well, I did think of him when I animated this, 'cause his animation in the game was the best for emphasizing that he has a heavy ass sword.

I also thought of Dante when I did the "sheathing behind the back" animation.
