Description the other day viewing a video on youtube, the blacksmith said "the other way to add carbon and extra resistence was at the begining, using bones. animal bone like bears or bulls to "gain" his power, or use your ancestors remainings...." then my head just explode.  how powerfull and sacred can be a sword or an axe or a lifetime-tool made with your blood related kind? truly that can be magic.
so, this was a kind of offering, to this God for carry our precious relatives to beyond the limits of the flesh, living again, melted with the bones of this planet, carried in our hands with new purpose.

Thank you. I had to draw it in almost 5 sessions, each one was like a journey. Soon hope got a better scaner for works like this.

How long was each session? I keep thinking about how often I have to sit down and type out my novels and after 6-9 hours, my hands are ready to fall off...

mmmm, not sure how long, but normally got many sketches in a folder, and work in sessions modifying and finishing. I would say not more than 3-4 hours per session/sketch.
in my case (we are all different in the discipline of create, right?) because my brains tends to send me ideas in most akward moments (y'know: bathroom, right now, before sleep, when i'm welding, doing push ups, working in other illustration/commision, or my favorite, when I'm more exausted...that kind of awkardness) I took by chance that advice of stephen king, when he said "taking breaks and do other stuff" its productive and "check the work when its done but you almost forget its done" (you can search the actual advice on the net for the real advice from him).
so this one got the same amount of time, but was unfinnished since august more or less (when started instagram I think so).
hope this reply can help you in some way.

ps: also when I sketch, some times, youtube help me hahahaha, putting some video or documental. or those music orchested without singing, more epic or long playlist. in that way I get motivated;it's  help me to get some kind of messure of time, for not over tired me; and get really nice time.
also, (not sure if any of this is relevant) I divided/scheduled my day, since morning 0700 to 0100 night, with the big meals marked and the tasks no more than 3 hours, with exeption of thurday (yeah Thor's day), starting from 0700 to 1000 only sketch. of course not following the schedule 100% it helps, (only meals time) and I should stop working at 1900 then meal, then nothing more, but (frecuently) when got unfinished work, I can only  continue, no further than 0100.
