So, I recently read through all of X-Factor obsessively and found it to be utterly amazing. ♥ So I decided that I wanted to draw an X-Factor character, and since Layla has one of the most distinctive designs even through the many artists X-Factor has gone through (what with her facial tattoo), I decided I draw her.

Since several of the artists who have worked on X-Factor favored a very heavy inked style, I decided I'd do a kind of stylized picture with a lot of thick, dark lines and shapes, and from there I just kind of ran with it. Layla is also often associated with butterflies, so I though that would be a fun image to include, and then I decided that the only color should be in the butterfly (for no reason other than "Maybe that would look cool...?").
