That's the surgery-building located in the abandoned hospital-town of Beelitz-HeilstΓ€tten in a forest near Berlin, Germany.

I was there last week (03.10.2011) - if somebody's planning to go to Beelitz-HeilstΓ€tten for photography: hurry, because all the
60 hospital-biuldings become more and more destroyed by headless idiots.

entering is possible again? Oo

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

VirUnis In reply to phoelixde [2011-10-12 23:02:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it is. Officially, entering is prohibited on the entire complex - but it was all time .

Basically most doors and all windows of all buildings are now boarded up with wood panels. But EVERY panel or every door's got a hole - just use the one of your predecessor . The wood panels are looking ungly from outside - but at daytime they produce a very dramatic light-situation inside of each building, with what my Nikon is very happy with .

Sector A (where also to surgery-building is) is completly open and unprotected (so there is also much destruction in this area). Sector B is also completly open, but at daytime you have to look a little around before you enter a building, because there is an active hospital in this area. Sector C is protected, but at daytime they open the doors to this area (not of the buildings) for tourists (...and there are much tourists - if you don't find the entrance to one of the buildings, you only need a few seconds to find somebody to ask). Sector D is closed and protected - you have to enter it from the backside (in my opinion, the most beautyful area - no humans, no massive destruction, no painted walls - just silence .

Before to go there last week, everywhere in the internet i read about that Beelitz-HeilstΓ€tten now is completly closed, strongly protected and if they catch you, you will immedialtly see the next police-station from inside. That's completly wrong and far from reality.

So, if you'd like to go there again, happy ghost-hunting ! Don't make any sorrow about what you can read about massive protection - that seems just to keep the tourists far from there.

I know the area quite well, I was there several times before it was closed
my favourite is sector C with the men's sanatory and the bathing house ... I got some of my best shots there

VirUnis In reply to phoelixde [2011-10-13 19:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the bathing house is absolutly impressive and beautiful! We also made a lot of shots there, wich are actually in "development". Actually it's only a little tricky to enter - the only possibility is to use a really small, barred window to reach the basement (wich is a little dangerous, because on the ground under a lot of scrap and dirt there are everywhere open holes to the supply-tunnels under the complex).

phoelixde In reply to VirUnis [2011-10-13 19:41:07 +0000 UTC]

ah, still the same way to enter

Ohh - i'm talking about sectors. Here's the complete map of the entire complex (german):
