Description
Yei-la, known as Nite Pyir by the Humans, was born of two diffrent bloods and cultures. Her father was Alimar, a violent fire breathing Dragon Prince from the West. Her mother, Miria, was a mist breathing dragoness of the East, a Princess of her kind. Alimar had come to Miria's father, Lord of the East Dragons, asking for her golden claw in mariage. He said that her beauty had put out the evil fire that once burned in his belly.

The Lord of the East Dragons did not believe nor trust Alimar and forbid it. Enraged Alimar stole Miria, dragged her to his castle in the West. A War broke out between the great Serpents of both lands. In the end the dragons of East, although peaceful protectors by nature, destroyed the fire breathers. Which is why Dragons fell out of Western culture.

Miria was rescued, but was already heavy with child. Yei-la was born in a peacful grove and was taught the ways of the Eastern Dragons. However Yei-la's dark skin, skeletal wings, and glowing red eyes frightened the Humans she desperately wanted to protect. Bitter that the Human's she loved feared and hated her for her scales she turned on them, lighting up the night with her firey wrath.

Miria pleaded with her daughter to stop. However Yie-la simply cried out that she could not protect a people who could not stand to look at her. Not wishing to have to destroy his own Grand daughter the Lord of Dragons decreed that the humans were no longer fit to view Dragons. In secret the Lord of the Dragons went to the Emperor and told him why they would no longer see Dragons, but to know that they still did watch over them.

Yei-la now only comes out at night when her black scales blend into the night sky and watches over all who sleep.
