Description Name: Waddlequaff
Scientific Name: Sluppus gourdicus
Family: Gourdfeather

These birds wings and feathers are too small to allow them to fly.  To catch prey, they use overdeveloped respitory muscles to suck in smaller creatures into its long beak.  Its unclear why the creatures evolved this way, but the current theory is due to it having very few natural predators, and little food.  Of course when Pikmin enter an area, that has been known to change
-Balthazar Trealcix

Valkyra's comment: It's not just smaller creatures that attract it.  They also have a habit of sucking down pellets and treasures.

Phoenix's comment: Not sure why they eat treasures, but it does mean this.  If you can't find a treasure despite equipment saying there is, chances are one of these things has eaten it.

Drago's comment: Just cause it's eaten something doesn't mean its gone forever.  A big enough shock will force them to spit up whatever they've eaten.

Amber's Notes: I'm sorry, but I can't take these things seriously.  They look so goofy!

Debbie's comment: Kinda tastes like chicken
