Description Will be moved to scraps later since it's a sketchy, crappy comic.

Anyway, to my surprise I actually have all the Resident Evil novels by S.D. Perry (except for Zero Hour). I only remember reading the adaptation of RE2, RE3 and one of the original ones. Despite owning the adaptation of Code: Veronica I have no memory of ever reading it so I read a bit of it. In fact, I'm certain I never even bothered cracking the book open. That's where the comic comes in.

Other than Claire's dialogue, this is the scene from the book where she and Steve meet for the first time. As far as the RE books go, this one is pretty good. It doesn't have any of the CVX scenes to my knowledge, and later games make certain dialogue irrelevant but she does a nice job of characterization for Claire and Steve.

Steve is hilarious, and there is an added benefit to not hearing his voice.

So yeah, just some practice and fun with Code: Veronica. Oh, and their clothes are based on the redesign from Dark Side Chronicles.

I loved that part! And yes, I love Steve so much more when I don't have to actually listen to him... Definite

Thanks for the ! Steve is unintentionally hilarious. It's part of what makes him just so gosh darn amusing.

It's adorable when he fails at life, eh? It's just his VOICE. It kills me little by little on the inside. x.x *retreats to the books*

It is. At least his voice actor in Dark Side Chronicles isn't nails on a blackboard bad. So we have that and the book.

True... But for some reason, he sounds like one of the Venture Brothers... Maybe that's just me... But hey, I'll take any and all improvement where I can get it~

lol Now, see, that makes it even more hilarious for me. Steve Burnside is actually Dean Venture in disguise! That is epic. Now I can't get the image of him yelling, "Go Team Burnside!" at Claire.

It TOTALLY works somehow, yeah? That's brilliant... The personalities are a chip of the same block, y'think?

From here on out, Steve Burnside is a Venture Brother and will have fantastic adventures with Dean and Hank. Claire and Triana will be only mildly amused.

Sad thing is, that would totally work... Brilliant I say! Brilliant!

Hahaha, niiiiiiiiiice.

Lovin' the flavor on this. Great sense of flow from one portion to the other actually.

And yeah, CV...I love the game, actually. In my own special way. It had a lot of personality to it, which most of the other RE games after it did not.

Although I may dislike S.D. Perry's novels, if it was responsible for this image, then okay. The novels are forgiven. For now.

Thanks. If I was doing it up right, I would have done actual panels. But, eh, too much effort. Maybe for the next misadventure of Steve.

Much love for CV. They made a real effort to make villains that were creepier than Chief Irons, and a love story that was slightly more developed than Leon yelling, "Ada, wait!" For me, what holds it back is the T-Veronica virus and real Alexia.

lol Technically speaking, I think CV might have been the best one she wrote. She wrote for Steve well in particular, especially what he was thinking after the situation with his dad. Kind of heartbreaking and I did not expect it. o_O

Ha, so true. Never read the novel, but this stays true to the game.

Still my fave game in the series. This or REmake.. Iยดve played thru both like a million times now. Alfred is the best villain ever.

The novel does keep up the feeling of the game, and at the beginning does quite a decent job of writing from Alfred's perspective. That has to be difficult, considering Alfie's problems.

CV's one of my favorites, although Alexia's power levels went too far for my tastes. I still like that CV is more character driven for an RE game. And I will never get tired of laughing at Alfred's tittering. Heehee.

Steve does keep trying, and trying. It's what makes him so entertaining. Thanks! I'm glad you like them.

I'm pretty sure you can still get the novels on Amazon.
