Description "Last time, you asked me, if it was my choice, would I do it? Having considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed."
- 343 Guilty Spark to Master Chief John-117

What must that original question have been like? How could MC have asked 343 anything?
Mistaken identity?
I won't go into detail in case I spoil the Halo plot for anyone, but the whole thing's been making me think...

Painted in Photoshop Elements.

The established explanation is that 343 is at least semi-rampant, and was confusing the Cheif with the Diact from the Terminals. Cheers!

wait, then what the hell is he, I though spartans were soliders that were opted into the spartan augmentation program. What is he that he would have forerunner memories

Hm, Cortana was inside Halo, and they share their thoughts in a sense.

But really I was just blabbering.

Very cool. I like the way the armor is more streamlined and such. Man I need to get a 360 and Halo 3. All I know about it is the vids and cut scenes I've seen on youtube.

Interesting.
Although in my Marathon-Halo connection theory,
the original 'reclaimer' is your character from Marathon brought back (possibly by Durandal) for one last fight against the 'legacy' left by human/s'pht forerunner.

The Flood and the game itself, beginning of Two Betrayals. Chapter nine; I found the quote on page 257.

You read the speculation on the HBO?

its good, nice work.
But still a lot of work needed on proportions and sharpness.
Keep it up

Yep, I've been around the story pages there a few times, might head back over there sometime and check out the latest. I don't tend to do the forums, though, it all overwhelms me sometimes.

And thanks for the honest feedback, I know I do tend to make my characters a bit too leggy etc at times though I'm trying to stop myself - anything in particular you're noticing is wrong? And anyway, might not even be technically human (I kid, I kid.) Was a bit crisper before I resized for display, too. But thanks anyway, I appreciate it. All the more reason to draw more stuff and get the practice in!

Much better than what I can do, but I believe you have the potential, maybe just broaden up everything, he looks real skinny at the moment.

Actually, and I hope I don't ruin anything, because I suspect quite strongly that this is the case, in 343's comment: "You've returned", 'You' simply refers to humanity. In general. For example, where do you think the Ark will be? I am fairly certain I know. Why did the Covenant show up on Earth without knowig about humans? I think I know that too....
Nice picture, the angularness brings out something fairly alien, its cool.

Never actually played Halo 2 , but I've heard plenty of the theories flying about the place. Don't worry about spoiling things too much.
Glad you like!

Dewd, someone else who questioned that bit as well!

-- I think 343 thinks John might be the Reclaimer from a previous era on Halo. I think that might be why he said to the extent of 'oh, you've returned!' or something, and then presumes he's just there to do his job again. ALSO, I wonder what 343 said in answer to that question, and what that question was. How utterly damn confusing! *shakes fist* damn you Xbox 360, damn you and your continuity disruption!!

Well, enough of that rant... I like your art!
