I'm thinking of attempting a faun cosplay (not tumnus, just some random faun) for Renfest in Texas this year... Any tips on the hooves?

I didn't do the costume you commented on, but if you're still looking for ideas how to do goat hooves for a costume, you might want to look up Tabi shoes (there are outdoor and indoor variants) and see if you can get some.
Possibly you'll get lucky at eBay...

The thing the that took the longest was growing my hair long enough to perm it. LOL. (My head hair, that is).
I usually keep my hair very short, so I had to grow it for a whole year.

The pants are made out of faux fur. The hock parts are stuffed with cotton wool.

with this one, I can begin to see that you are getting really cold, based on the redness of your arm. I think that maybe you could have gotten a little closer frame with this one, but it still looks great the way it is.
