Description Well, I just finished a 2000 word essay, so I figured I could celebrate by finishing this.

This is the companion piece to the "Beast" picture I did earlier. Same sort of stuff - set down a layer of smudged graphite and worked from there. Then I tinted it sepia-ish and darkened the whole background in photoshop, because I wanted it darker than my pencils did.

Stay tuned for the exciting finale of the project, where I (gasp!) put the pictures together!

you are so lucky in that you are able to draw emotion on faces so well... its something in the eyes I think, just shows so clearly how the subject is feeling. having only seen the thumbnail preview of the final piece so far, I feel almost as if I shouldn;t be seeing this yet, as I dont know the story. Out of the two (Best and Beauty) so far, I prefer this one, I must say... I think her expression just says so much. Great work on the hands, and again on the clothing - you must put so much time into material work

Nice touches added in photoshop too, just right for the piece in my opinion
