Description The Cramer-Klett settlement in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg was built as a workers' settlement between 1896 and 1906 by the mechanical engineering company MAN (at that time still "Klett & Co."), whose name paid tribute to MAN founder Theodor von Cramer-Klett (1817-1884) . The expansion of MAN's production and the resulting influx of new workers made it necessary to build the settlement. The MAN Gustavsburg plant is located approximately 500 meters south of the Cramer-Klett settlement.
Theodor Cramer, from 1847 Cramer-Klett, from 1855 from Cramer-Klett, from 1876 Baron von Cramer-Klett, was a German merchant and industrialist. In addition to Joseph von Baader (1763–1835) and Joseph Anton von Maffei (1790–1870), Cramer-Klett, in his capacity as owner of the Maschinenbau Actiengesellschaft Nürnberg, is one of the three most important pioneers of the railroad in Bavaria. As an important financier, he was the founder of Süddeutsche Bodencreditbank AG and co-founder of the private bank Merck, Christian & Co. and the Munich Reinsurance Company.

Da versammeln sich die Menschen, die da in der Umgebung leben und lassen ihre Kinder da spielen, und die Erwachsenen
halten stundenlang Schwätzechen.

The people who live in the area gather there and let their children play there, and the adults keep chatting for hours.

Thank you dear Paul!
