this is my first attempt at what my studio teacher calls a "tearsheet", meaning we look thru a magazine to find an ad and try to reproduce it as closely as possible. this is a columbian coffee ad where there is the word "hardware" next to the mug and "software" next to the beans (quite witty, in my mind). this is relatively close, except i couldn't find a cup and saucer in time for the shoot, so the mug had to do. there are also more beans than in the ad to make it proportionate.
