Description
Here's Wingnut and Screwloose of vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame. They were also part of the Mighty Mutanimals. I guess he showed up in the old TMNT cartoon but I never saw it. It may have been a later episode.This version is based off of the 1990 action figures. I made Screwloose pinkish instead of purple or yellow.
It's weird, but it only dawned on me today after I'd had this pic drawn for a few days & owned the figures since 1990, that Wingnut is a spoof of Batman. Should've been obvious but I got tripped up by his wings all these years.
For some reason, I always thought Wingnut was an alien bat guy with gimpy wings and Screwloose helped him build his mechanical wings so he could fly like the proverbial bird.. or bat... or butterfly. Dunno how true that is. TMNT history is all over the map.

I like how Wingnut and Screwloose are looking up to the butterflies, and wishing they could fly like them.

Actually you got his history pretty close (based from the Archies TMNT storyline anyway) they are an alien bat and alien bug, wingnut was born unable to fly and he teamed up with screwloose as a kid together they got a pair of mechanical wings for him...

This guy was one of my favorite TMNT figures as a kid.
And he did show up in the old TMNT cartoon, but it was only once, I believe. Not many of the actual figures appeared in the show.

Yeah, I liked him too. I have almost all of the old figures. I got bored when they stopped making different mutant characters though. I guess I got tired of the cartoon after a while cuz I missed that episode. The show seems to have run a lot longer than I remembered too. I've heard there were 9 seasons. I should prolly look it up some century.

Probably my favorites of the Mighty Mutanimals (Jagwar comin in' at a close second), these guys were awesome... They were the weirdos in a team full of weirdos, LOL. Great work, bud.

They were in the cartoon, but it was a disappointingly awful appearance, especially since the Archie comics version of the characters had a rich, deep back story.
Archie Comics: the last of each of their kind from a peaceful planet destroyed by Krang, running amok on Earth trying to exact their revenge.
Cartoon show: Generic aliens that want to take over the world.
