Description Retrospecting in the shadows of past,
dreaming in the glimpses of future,
do you ever realized what is present,
that quick moment, shorter than blink of an eye,
I believe it, strive for it.
Is that what is called eternal bliss?

This picture is really beautiful Madhur! And I love your comment as well.

I think I am completely a person of present, I have difficulties with remembering past, donΒ΄t like dwelling in past, and even more difficulties with future and planning, which isnΒ΄t always good. On the other hand, I sense every moment in present very intensively.

For me the present is what I wrote. All mingled up. But after couple of years since I framed that thought, it has evolved in my head. I can best explain it to you by showing few other thoughts

Yeah ....... I had this kind of description in mind but it took a couple of days to put it in words. I used 4 layers, two for each bigger spiral. Earlier version did not had the two spirals as mirror images but later I decided that it should have ... .. glad you like it

nopes .. I shifted slowly to UF .... its tough to take out time and develop own program .... damn job don't let me live my life .... ... if you followed the description is somewhat the situation I have today ....

I know what you mean... I dont have a full time job, but between working weekends and studying, and extra vac work over summer.. All of my friends are in similar situations, or have started working full time, we just don't have time for each other any more, and we dont have a whole lot of time to do our own thing.. We spend most of our lives working and sleeping it seems.

What language did you write your program in? I wouldn't mind taking a look / trying it out one day if you don't mind If its in a language I'm ok with I might even be able to help, although I'm not very good yet :/

physiologoius In reply to twodimensions [2006-11-07 18:35:07 +0000 UTC]

alas .... I just hope I get enough time to keep up with DA work... its a great hobby ...

I wrote the program in C and embedded it with Tcl/Tk GUI. It does not do a realtime rendering. It creates an image stores in memory and displays it.

Earlier it was full Tcl/Tk based but the complex calculations was bogging it down a lot. Then I took the iteration calculation as a compiled C function embedded in tcl. That too looks bit clumsy. Next important thing which I wanted to do is to port the pixel coloring part in C too and just keep the GUI in Tcl/Tk. Couldn't really do it due to lack of time ... plus UF does allow me to write my own formulas, one of the main reasons why I was developing my own program.

If you wish to play around with the code and enhance it ...... its great ... I would love to partner...
