Sometimes but not always :'0 I don't ever lineart in this style but the colouring seems to take awhile, whereas in my simpler style, I spend awhile linearting and usually colour them fast
I'd say this style takes a little longer though if I had to guess

It's really impressive to me that you don't even use lineart. It would take me like a week to achieve this sort of art, even if I tried to do it in my style. XD

I actually always felt like I made a mistake experimenting so much over the past few years; painting and whatnot is fun but.... I lost my ability to pose the characters and to draw backgrounds :^( They started looking more stiff and boring so I think drawing simpler again will help me with that

That's okay. Experimenting is totally cool! Don't worry about trying new things.
It is nice though to feel a sense of progression when drawing. To regress can be very difficult emotionally.
I think that you certainly have improved in all areas a lot! Still, I would like to see you do some more beautiful, melancholic, thoughtful stuff. I think that you are really skilled at evoking feelings of bittersweetness with your drawings and I'd like to see you do more stuff with that!
