Though I MUST say how DO you do anything with those in the way? I had fake nails on for haloween, that were filed down to claws and they got in the way like crazy and as soon as the night was over.. OFF they came.. those are WAY longer then the ones I used!

Jesus, a lot of people here aren't getting the point. Asking silly questions like why she put them on some fake nails instead of a canvas. Newsflash, the nail IS the canvas! Do you know how difficult it is to paint intricate details on a media that's literally the size of your thumb? Really sad how some people don't get it.

... have you considered the possibility that the picture was photomanipulated?
Look at the hand and the entire picture, has a lot of mistakes... and I have seem too much better works.

I don't happen to see a lot of photo manip... I see a lot of unique brush strokes and a lot of real skin texture that would be all to easy to "fix" if someone was already going to the bother of editing.

I think a little photomanip to clean the skin of the fingers up would have been nice. These poor hands look like farmer hands, and its a shame with such pretty nails.

Those look like farmer hands to you?! I'd hate to see your reaction to actual farmer hands. Her hands are mostly flawless. I see a grand total of ONE thing that could be photoshopped out.

All I'm saying is that the nails are absolutely gorgeous, but the models fingers are tore up. Should have been retouched for aesthetics.

Is there a problem with farmer hands?
They show that a lot of work has been done in this person's life, and (judging by those beautiful nails) it was all well worth it.
Besides which, I doubt they're actually farmer hands. Maybe guitarist, gardener, seamstress, or needle-worker hands. Callouses can come from anywhere.
(and, if photo-manip had been used, there'd probably be people saying the nails are definitely beyond fake, and she's already getting that enough as is.)

You're right, that was insensitive of me. I didn't mean to stereotype farmers, I just meant that those hands don't look like model hands, but the nails are so pretty.
