Description Pencil Sketch by ~RHIX72.

I really liked the composition, and jumped at the open offer to color one of his sketches so I fired up Photoshop and several hours later, spat out this version. I did a little minor editing to some of the leaves and most notably to the lightning because it translated better to the vision I had in my head to just redo it from scratch in PS. I hope you all enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to do.

UPDATE: Now with the changes requested by ~RHIX72 and some improvements to the storm clouds.

Hey I'm glad you like it. I got rid of some of the clouds, but I guess I got lazy and missed a couple errant clouds. I was wondering what was going on with her hat, that makes way more sense knowing that it's her hand up there. Also that's funny that he was supposed to be a vampire - woops. hehe. I saw the satchel and the cape and immediately thought of the Elven Cloaks from the Lord of the Rings so I went with a ... generic Fellowship costume, especially because his hair reminded me of a hobbit for some reason.

Your take on his halloween costume was perfect. I think his candy bag turned into a much slicker leather bag because I was having trouble pulling off a good period-accurate candy bag. He really does look like a Hobbit You did a great job of hiding her hand...apparently I did too. I put her hand up there late in the drawing because I though, "How in the heck is that hat going to stay on in all that wind"? I should have drawn it better.

WOW! Thanks for taking the time to color this so masterfully. I'm impressed with what you've done and I don't typically feel that way when others have inked or colored my work. You've certianly added tremendously to value of the piece. My pencils had left some problems unsolved and you've found good solutions. The background I'd left open for finishing in the painting process and you're vision of what the background should be is even better than my own. I really like your color choices. I'd originally envisioned that the little boy was in a vampire costume but I see he now looks for like an "elven ranger"...how filtting. Now I have two requests: 1) Don't let any of my sketchy cloud lineart pass over your background lightning as it removes the effect of the lightning being in front of the cloud. There's one really obvious place to the right of the pumpkin head on the scarecrow. My eye keeps getting drawn to this area. 2) Please sign your name on the broom. Feel free to move, remove, resize the date if you need. Thanks again and great job!

One other small detail...that's supposed to be her hand holding the top of her hat from blowing off.
