I guarantee you this was not rushed
At first I was gonna try a sitting down pose but that didn't work so well so I decided to draw it standing
I didn't like how the colors turned out in this one, or is it just me?

It's really cute.
I think the colors worked out well. Not a lot of variety, but you don't always need it. Flareon is all oranges and reds anyway so the fire background works if you want to emphasize that. Also I like the colored lineart. Although, the one line under the shine in the eyes looks a little odd to me. Something like light reflecting in the eye might not need lineart around it. Alternately, since you're using colored lines, you could do those lines with a color that works better with the parts of the eye bordering them.
In short though, good job. =^°^=
