Shadow:*closes his eyes as he nuzzles him lovingly, keeping his arms over his shoulders*Just one more week~ One more week and we'll have the money to travel~*opens his eyes with a soft smile*Lets get some rest, Beautiful.*pecks him on the lips before slipping away with his usual sexy stride, locking the front door but being to disracted with showing off to lock the back door*

Sonic: *blushes as he watches with shy eyes* Oh Shadow...~ Yoire too much~ *when he returns he wraps his arms around him and pulls him down into bed*

Shadow:*cuddles up with him on top of the blanket since it was so warm. After an hour or so he yawns and grogily gets uo to get a drink of water, wandering to the kitchen. He immediatly notices the back door was open, paling nervously as he quickly hurries back to their room. But along the way he's suddenly hit across the head, making him stagger and hit the wall with a yelp. He looks up at the hooded figure above him before his eyes dart to the bedroom door and then back to the figure, noticing Sonic hiding in the doorway. He quickly gets up and pushes the attacker back with his shoulder. But he doesnt expect the knife...It plunges deep into his stomach, stabbing upwards towards his chest, puncturing his heart as he gasps and gets shoved back, collapsing as he wheezes*

Sonic: Sh-Shadow-- *his first instinct is to run to him, but is stopped by another two people that surround him and grab him. The two begin to hit him across the face and punch him, soon pushing him to the ground as they continue to beat him* S-Stop!! *cries out and tries to shield himself but it's no good* P-Please!!

Shadow:*suddenly barrels into the attackers, collapsing over Sonic protectively as he rests his head heavily against Sonic's, blood coating his front as he snarled abit at the attackers*

Sonic: *hardly able to stay conscious, his head having been hit against the wall repeatedly as he bleeds from the mouth and head. He looks up at Shadow with watery misty eyes before looking up helplessly at the attackers, starting to feel dizzy. He barely has a moment to plead with them again before a gun is pointed at him and he's shot in the head, falling back limp and lifeless with his eyes wide open*

Shadow:*tears up as he shakily cups his face in his hands*N-No...!*grits his teeth as he rests their foreheads together, shutting his eyes tight as he pants heavily. He quickly whips around to attack the shooter but gets shot in the chest twice, paling as he looks at them, taking a stumbling step back before collapsing by Sonic's side*Wh.....y...?

The attackers jeer at them and kick their bodies, calling them awful things before walking out, leaving the broken-hearted hedgehog to die*

Shadow:*barely hanging on, barely breathing as his droopy eyes look at his mangled and lifeless lover...He feels the tears fall down his numb cheeks, eyes slowly shifting up to see a glowing hand slowly lowering to him, resting over his own bloodied hand as the pain suddenly fades, being replaced with hushed, loving words and a sense of weightlessness*

*An apparition looked out the window, glancing at the rural area around them. Time had sped up for the two spirits, going about the day as if they were still alive. To them, this house was still theirs. They lived there, unable to leave as they cleaned, had meals at the dusty table, slept in their bed and even sat down and watched the blank screen of the old tv as if a show was on. Their reality stretched as far as their memories allowed them to*
Shadow:*washing a non-existant glass in his hands, the faucet running from the will of his own mind as he used the invisible cloth to clean and invisible glass that he acted was in his hand, setting it in the dish rack*

Sonic: *sotting at the table with his head resting on his elbows. He stares up at the ceiling with hollow eyes, stuck in his own personal limbo of confusion and disassociation... The way he died has left him mentally drained... his "life" feeling much like a blur...*

Shadow:*eyes widen as he holds Sonic closer, quickly flying up to the attic with him. They really hated flying but they were cornered and had no choice*
