So this was part "wow I need to draw my lovely OCs more often" and part "wow I need to draw these outfits I paid for more often" lol...I'm also still playing around with coloured lineart as you can see...but honestly I'm not even sure if it improves my style tbh. Still, I'm trying a few methods of it lately.

Okay so she looks kiiiind of a mess unfortunately...but she's still cute and also now you all know that she's a furry, which I think is very important information to have about Eva. The lineart for the white areas looks pretty bad and I am sorry for that. Honestly, I just got lazy and frustrated. I've been trying to colour my lines with layer modes so that I can have coloured lineart without manually going over every pixel by hand, but it doesn't always work out. I guess it depends on the range of values in a drawing...something like this with both very light and dark greys is more of a challenge.

Anyway though, aside from that, I don't entirely love how I shaded her hair this time around, but this is much closer to the hair texture I originally wanted her to have. I ended up giving her an afro all this time pretty much because I was shit at drawing the actual correct texture, but I think it's looking better these days than it did back in 2014 when I was just starting to learn how hair texture actually works lmao. I still don't think it's perfect but it's better and at least now all my black characters don't have the same texture. Apart from that stuff, the sort of weird pose, and the lineart issues--honestly I think maybe my colouring just isn't clean enough for this method--I still think she's cute.
