This is a silly title.I just... felt like re-doing a thing from, like... three years ago.
Okay I really need to go to sleep now, long day tomorrow blehhh.

Did you get soot from a reference of a game or was he an actual creation?

Soot is my original story. There's a lot of video game inspiration going into it, like Pokemon, but, other than that, all me.

For the longest time, I had this idea of gloves that could turn into dragon claws and I dunno, one day I just said, "What if... they came from like, a blacksmith or something?"
And then I just built stuff up from there.

Well, lately I've been drawing him with more circular eyes than oval eyes, but that's just because my style's changing.
Other than that, I added a tie to his apron about two years after I created him and his "dragon form" gloves used to be just actual dragon claws that kinda just fused to his arms, I guess, but his overall design and concept have been the same.

I know we all improve eventually in design, I did with my knights, back then their helmet was sort of short by the top now it's longer.

Not really. Just coming up with an ending to the story is kinda my priority now.

I had one, 'cause the webcomic version of Soot is technically my second draft of the story, but I' wasn't happy with it at all, so I'm trying to come up with a new one.
I kinda wish I could rewrite the story again and stat over, actually, but... I'm just kinda rolling with it, finishing up what I can. If anything, it's good practice for other comics I might do.

Why don't you make an alternative story? Maybe that would help you around your original idea?

Eh, I mean, I would use side stories and stuff for character development, but I have no idea how I would relate it to the main plot.
