idAmn - iPhone/iPod Touch app. Only a concept.We were discussing the possibility of this in #webdevelopment a few days ago, so got bored tonight and thought I'd edit a interface design up

A dAmn application would be a good idea...but should it really be limited only to the iPhone? There are people less fortunate enough for them to be unable to get an iPhone...like me.

I like the idea. But, I think your concept needs a few modifications.
First, you neeed to be able to see what you type. Would something popup when you start typing? If so, I would like to see something that only takes up as many lines as the text in it. (Like facebook's comment boxes. It expands downwards as you type more into it.)
Also, I think your title is a waste of space, on a screen you should use wisely. You can read the name of the chat on the tab. So I suggest adding navigational elements there. Such as join more chats, view who is in the chat, view topic and title, and a edit settings, to edit login information, maybe a few other things.
I am also interested in helping. I don't know objective C, but I know enough that learning objective C won't be too hard. I'd also like to help design the app's different pages, and everything else. I am very very interested in helping jump start this.
Although, I don't have a mac.

This is only a basic concept, I will be redoing it soon once I get myself a iPod Touch etc.
The typing showing in a box is a good idea not sure if it is possible in the SDK though.
=philo23 has done a mockup in the SDK which is a lot better than this, which we will probbaly use for the system when we work on it.

Nice, however one major fail is the fact that dAmn is built around flash and flash fails on safari.

We won't be connecting through Safari, plus it also works in Java too.
We will be coding from a new base in Objective C. Using protocols used by bots and other already made clients.
