you can now pretend to read act one in less than 10 minutes
act one for what it is, is not entirely that hilarious, you could even call it a little slow, but it is what it is and it is there. i wouldn't say this can replace the experience of actually reading the actual comic, but still THIS IS A SUMMARY THING
(man, if I want to continue this thing, imma have to figure out how to do better word balloons, because right now they are barely adequate)

I really like it. Some weird typos creep in here and there, but overall it is extremely well done. A lot of the expressions that John makes are simply hilarious, and I love the narration lines. The coloring is solid, and though at times the art looks a little... rough, it overall fits the tone of the summary, so I really don't have any complaints.
As for Act 1, I actually really liked it. The build up from an innocent story to becoming a rather serious fantasy epic was in my opinion extremely well done, and in my opinion, so many future plot points are introduced here, and I feel that that aside from 5-1 it's one of the most funny in the story. (They're all quite good, obviously, although I personally felt that Act 2 was a little slow.)

Act one... how long ago it seems. Honestly it seems like a lot of my favorite conversations are from Act 1... but that might just be because it's, naturally, the act that I've re-read the most times.
But man, things were simpler back then... the story about four kids playing a game together... good times.
