There is something... inexpressibly clean about the concept behind this piece. Β I'm not sure quite why, but I find myself drawn to it visually and it's extremely clever, while at the same time very sad.

if your other stories on these characters ever become a graphic novel I would suggest putting a reversed image of this on the hard back cover, under the slip paper cover fancy books use. This way people could literally judge the book by its cover, Β from the guttered candle on the back, and the tall still flaming character just meeting beau on the front.
I usually try not to interfere in others work but you are an amazing artist with a fascinating story. Thank you for sharing it anyhow.
