Shortly after I watched Invader Zim's Enter The Florpus, I kept thinking about two things. One were the more emotional beats between Dib and his family the other with Zim and his dilemma with his mission, as well as coming to the realization that his leaders aren't coming. Ya know how I am with my angst. Though in this particular case, I had something else in mind.

Road Trip to Doom is a series of three stories, all intertwined with in one flowing narrative. Taking place sometime after the movie. Dib and Gaz were just planning to spend their summer with their usual shenanigans. Dib spying on Zim, Gaz playing her video games. However Professor Membrane is busy with a new science project. Which involves him traveling across country to install these powerful satellite dishes in preparation for a big event that happens at the end of summer. Of course he wants Dib and Gaz to tag along, much to their annoyance at first. That is until they see the high-tech RV they'll be traveling in. From it's video game system to it's state of the art computer and spy-wear, it looks like the two will find this to be quite eventful summer. Though Dib still worries a little on what Zim might do while he's gone.

Meanwhile back a the base, Zim has been busy toiling away at various experiments and on occasion trying to contact his leaders the Tallest, but to no avail. Still in denial over the possible truth. Zim still believes he mission will be completed soon. That is until he receives a strange package at his door step. In it is a strange cube shaped devise containing the Irken symbol. Zim thinks this is from his Tallest and may hold the key to taking over the Earth once and for all. However the before he can decode the thing, Gir ends up blowing out half the base from trying to deep fry a turkey. With most of his equipment destroyed, Zim knows of only one person with technology similar to his own. But this will mean he's going to have to confront... The Dib! Taking his trusty sidekick Minimoose.... and Gir... Zim sets off to Dib's house.

Once packed Dib and Gaz are eager to set off on their vacation with their Dad. Leaving Clembrane and Foodio 3000 to “look after the house” while their gone. (Which they know will probably be covered in pudding by then.) At this point Zim sees them beginning to leave and latches onto the RV. Sneaking his way inside. It's only when on the road do Dib and Gaz discover Zim hiding in their one of coverts, do things take a drastic change. While their Dad is perfectly okay with having Zim come join them, neither Dib or Gaz are pleased with this. Though, a part of Dib is relived since this will mean he can keep a close eye one Zim and hijinks ensues from there. I'll go into further detail on the other stories once the other covers come out but thats the basic premise so far.
