Description no longer afraid of the dark
or midday shadows
nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate
nothing so childish
at a better pace
slower and more calculated
no chance of escape
now self-employed
concerned (but powerless)
an empowered and informed member of society (pragmatism not idealism)
will not cry in public
less chance of illness
tires that grip in the wet (shot of baby strapped in back seat)
a good memory
still cries at a good film
still kisses with saliva
no longer empty and frantic
like a cat
tied to a stick
that's driven into
frozen winter shit (the ability to laugh at weakness)
calm
fitter, healthier and more productive
a pig
in a cage
on antibiotics

I think that what I love more than anything is the way the man is in silhouette, and faceless. You really captured an "everyman" that way, the the stark darkness of the piece, as a whole, contributes very well to the notion of being trapped with no hope of escape. You really went beyond just capturing an image, a frozen moment in time, and with this, you engaged in some really wonderful storytelling.

What I also like, very much, is the manner in which this differs from a lot of your work. This lends a depth to your body of work as a whole, telling the peruser of your gallery that this is an artist with real range and vision, not one who will continue to just repeat himself. It makes your gallery, as a whole, more compelling in that it makes me, the observer, want to see what will come next.

Thank you for your time to make a critique. Since you liked this picture, you can pay attention to this [link] also. Its kind of similar mood, i made it last summer. If you notice i try for some time now to upload different styles of pictures and not stick to a "profile". i love shooting models, beauty, fashion and glamour or nudes as much as i love street photography, and nature, landscape, and macro.
You can say that i just love photography

I can really relate, if you peruse my gallery, you will see the same. I love shooting models, especially models with strong ideas of their own, who can make the whole thing a collaborative effort. But as you said about yourself, I love to shoot flower macros and landscapes. And I love making Photoshop photomanips. I guess you could say, with me, that I am just in love with the whole process of creating.
