A little better than the old crap (!) of the not-so-good ol' days. I suppose it was thanks to the good shading already rendered in the painting, considering you made this in the same period as other old drawings of yours.

is a job that I did not finish, it is the drawing that was to be used for later painting in oil or acrylic, I really liked the original painting...

I see. Yep, that's one way to do it. I usually just do the sketch (back when I was still doing oil painting) with some burnt umber oil color, wait for it to dry and go on with my painting.
